Round 7 – September FAQ

A very looking different Round 7 – September is almost upon us. Here is everything you need to know about the Race!

What is the Format?

Two two hour races. Two stops minimum in each race and fuel bay will close 10 minutes before the end of the first race. You can swap drivers for the next race but your second driver needs to be ready to take the start for Race 2.

On the second lap of race two, the fuel bay will re-open. No fuel to be taken on between races.

Qualifying

One lap Qualifying returns! Your time starts as soon as you come out of the pits and cross the line. No wets are permitted this time unless the track is damp/wet.

The order for Qualifying is pulled out of the hat during Driver’s briefing.

Is this a doubleheader?

No. Each race will be scored normal (i.e. 50, 46, 44, 42…) added up and then halved.

Point for pole stands for the One Lap Qualifying for both classes. The point for the fastest lap is open throughout both races and will be the fastest time of the day in either race for both Super and Clubman.

How will the grid for Race two be placed?

We will be organising Race two via the fastest to slowest laps from Race 1. Even if you have an issue in race one, get back out there and start putting in times!

Will Tyres be pulled again in Super?

Yes, August’s top three will hand their tyres in to be marked and allocated at random just like last month.

What are RHPK doing about Fuel Contamination (August)

We are certain that a team handed in fuel last round that was contaminated, we suspect due to the additional 5l to be handed in for the longer race duration. The RHPK team will be performing additional checks this round, also inspections to the fuel container. It should be clean and in decent shape. If a container is sub-par condition we will refuse fuel.
