It has been confirmed today that Sam Read will move to Custom Rods for the rest of the 2018 season. The announcement comes after long-serving Custom Rods Driver, Steve Aldridge has left the team.
Sam joins Chris Orme & Mark Beaumont
Sam joined the series last year, after stepping in for a number of teams such as Artifex Racing, he went onto join Amigos 2. In 2018 he was offered a drive for Polish Lambo’s newly promoted Super team. He will join Chris Orme and Mark Beaumont in April.
Sam gave us the following statement…
I want to say a big thanks to Polish Lambo and the Lambo camp for making me feel very welcome in the time I spent with them + all the help they were all willing to give, I can’t thank them enough.
When I started Rhpk round 3 of last year the target was to try to get to the top and be as quick as the fastest drivers in the championship which is not easy as there are some very quick boys out there, I feel I’m getting quicker but still have a lot to learn.
I’m honored to be joining a team like custom rods, they will help me grow even more as a driver with the experience they all have, I’m really looking forward to the challenge.
We look forward to welcoming the updated team next month.
